10. Amphitheatre installation

Having passed by this installation several times, it never struck me that it is an amphitheatre. The seats are there, the “stage” as well, however, because it blends nicely into the landscape, it's easy to only look at the cedar planks on the stainless steel arch and ignore the seating beyond.  The raised plaque says:

The amphitheater sculpture takes its aesthetic cue from the landscape design and blurs the line between art, sculpture and landscape. Fifty inset LED lights are embedded into the curved stainless pipes, creating a beautiful glow for evening use.

The stonework adds definition to this hidden gem in White Rock. In the summer, I’ll check to see if the lights create a beautiful glow.
