18. Johnston Hill

After a windy, rainy night and threatening skies in the morning, the sun broke out in the early afternoon. Although this looks like the streets are abandoned, the streets are never very busy on a Sunday here in White Rock, making it easy to get this shot.  I would have liked more detail in the buildings on the shadow side of the road, but the sun was shining in my eyes, making it difficult to see the scene. The blue flags give an added splash of colour and think it would enhance the photo if these were more prominent. My preference would have been to include a couple of people with a dog walking along the sidewalk, or a small car driving down the hill toward the beach with a sailboard on top but there was no one in the vicinity and not sure how long I would wait for that photo!
